Vimba Warta has a number of casual employment opportunities in surface operations at Olympic Dam, South Australia.

Positions include:

Smelter Technicians
Refinery Technicians
Trade Assistants
Labourers

About you

– Have a commitment to safety, including maintaining a high level of housekeeping standards, and acting with due care and diligence
– No formal qualifications are necessary, sound literacy and numeracy skills are essential, whilst having the ability to be proactive and show initiative
– Demonstrated experience in a similar role, with mechanical aptitude being highly regarded
– Able to display effective communication skills whilst following relevant work procedures
– Adherence to, and promotion of safe working practices and procedures is essential

Job Details

– 7 / 7 Roster
– Day and Night Shift
– 12 hours per day
– 12 month contract with possible extension
– Accommodation provided
– Candidate to travel at their own expense (Bus service provided from Adelaide)

Underground Vacancies – Olympic Dam

Plant Operators
Labourers
Nippers
Trade Assistants

Role Requirements:

– Underground experience is desirable, but not essential.
– Previous experience in functional area is desirable, but not essential.
– Machinery experience, advantageous for Plant Operator vacancies
– Demonstrated reliability, honesty, and flexibility
– Able to provide detailed shift handovers
– Proven ability to demonstrate appropriate HSEC behaviours
– Ability to work effectively within the Olympic Dam operations and functional teams.
– Ability to communicate across multiple levels and disciplines
